When a clip of Rita Ore’s debut single arrived in my inbox today I just had to let you know about this awesome lady. As if landing a number one single with DJ Fresh for the insanely catchy ‘Hot Right Now’ wasn’t enough, Rita Ora is stepping out in style with a great new tune ’R.I.P’ with none other than Tinie Tempah.
Rita’s 2012 is no doubt going to be a big one, with Jay Z signing her to his legendary Roc Nation label after just one phone call and now launching her debut single with a roll call of writer and producers that would make anyone sit up and take notice. The tune ‘R.I.P’ was written by superstar Drake and produced by dubstep kings Chase & Status, so she means business.
It’s safe to say that this 21 year old is going to be a name on everyone’s lips by the end of the year.
Listen to her new track ‘R.I.P’ here and let us know what you think.
It may still be cold outside and Spring seems a million miles away, however fashion has well and truly leapt into the new season. One of the hottest looks to shop for this Spring, is Lace. This pretty and feminine trend can includes Broderie Anglaise to sheer netting in sweet whimsical sorbet colours to bold reds and oranges.
The catwalks for Spring/Summer 2012 were alive with lace, especially on dresses in pretty ’50s and ’60s silhouettes. Maggie Angus’ favourites include Louis Vuitton’s whimsical laser cut floral dresses and skirt suits with delicate appliqué embellishments in gorgeous whites, pale pinks and blues. Valentino and Miu Miu also went for full-on gorgeous lace dresses and Erdem and Giambattista Valli presented beautiful separates good enough to eat.
If your budget won’t stretch to top designers’ frocks why not add a touch of lace with new pretty lace earrings and bracelets in pearlescent white, ice blue or candy pink. These cute jewels are great to wear now regardless of the temperature and can be worn everyday, day or night and are completely unique. The biggest decision you have to make is what shade to go for.
Let us know what lace pieces you’ve seen that you fancy this Spring/Summer 2012.
