The Maggie Angus Green Flower Elephant Necklace was featured in Fabulous Magazine this week as part of an outfit fit to wear to a warehouse party. Pretty cool hey?!
Maggie Angus’ new collection Jungle is a brightly coloured, fun and exotic-style range that will add a little pizzazz to your Spring wardrobe. The main inspiration for this new collection is the paintings of French Post-Impressionist Henri Rousseau (1844 – 1910). His beautiful paintings of the jungle, feature bright, luscious flora and fauna and exotic animals. My particular favourites are the Tiger in a Tropical Storm (Surprised!) (1891) which was the first of a number of jungle paintings that Rousseau painted as well as the famous Monkeys in the Jungle and The Dream (1910).

Magazines have always been nice to us at Maggie Angus and feature loads of our jewellery but we love it when they express their love for us. Well who doesn’t like feeling loved?
Today the wonderful team at Fabulous magazine featured an article all about Maggie Angus and they raved about our new jungled themed collection that is out on Monday 25th March 2013.
What a lovely way to finish our week! To read the article in full, just click on the image below.
Today the sun was shining in Brighton and thank goodness I stuck my leg out of the back door first and gasped at the icy breeze I was met with, or I would have happily dumped my winter coat in a snap and giddily put on a summer dress and skipped out of the house.
I don’t do transitional season dressing well at all. Yep I know it’s supposed to be all about adding layers, but when you love granny-style thick cardigans and beach-ready Hawaiian print attire in equal measure, it’s hard to find a happy medium.
I’ve decided that to look chic this spring I’m going to embrace the nautical look. After all, you can bet on your life-vest that the high street will be awash with sailor chic fashion already for Spring. Breton stripes, anchor details and the trusty Spring palette of red, white and blue is always on trend and a classic and stylish way to beat this tricky time of year for dressing.
I’m going to opt for an on trend red midi skirt with a cool Vivienne Westwood jacket and relaxed Breton style top. Let me know what you think and whether you embrace the Nautical trend too. Here’s to not looking like a ship wreck!
1. Heart Stripe T-shirt – Not for Ponies £25.00
2. Nautical Charm Necklace – Maggie Angus £18.00
3. Tempest De Corps Jacket - Vivienne Westwood £310.00
4. White High-Top Trainers – Converse @Shuh £45.00
5. Red Midi Skirt – Topshop £20.00
